Programming

Today's transformation of Chinese economic system brought changes to various fields including Urban Design. The targets, procedures and methods of the cities'development have changed spontaneously. As an instrumentality of urban constructions, Urban Design has being required to reveal its'commonweals, benefit equilibrium and owner's multi-demands in the past years. According to the specific market environment during the transformation, the design activities which based on the static assignments could not adapt to the changeful market anymore. How to engage the Urban Design's methodology with the market operations? This problem has caused extensive attentions in our society.The Programming is a scientific theory with rational study methodologies. The directive effects of Programming have been proved by the markets extendedly, and its'application value has also been affirmed by the professions both inside and outside. Corresponding to the market demands, the Programming theories were introduced into the study of Urban Design within this thesis. The author analyzed the inevitability of Programming's arising, and provide rational gist for Urban Design with external, logical and systemic study methodologies. The study is a scientific and rational supplement for the existing Urban Design theories, and also provides all-pervading references for the market operations of the Urban Design in the future.
