The thesis ideas stem from the key project"Knowledge-based Ship-design Hyper-Integrated Platform (KSHIP)". The main task of ocean environment database and real sea area shipping performance prediction module is to collect, statistically analyse, integrate, complete and verify the winds and waves data.On the foundation of collecting a great deal measured data of winds and waves, and with the result of numerical simulation of large-scale wave, the second chapter does statistical analysis systematically by using the wave climate mode for China's coastal waters and Northwest Pacific area.Database establishment in this thesis mainly develops the research of database content and structure. On the basis of National Maritime Research Institute database of winds and waves, the third chapter analyses the structure of its data table, determines the connection of different statistic data, formes the basic framework of database, and then compiles data management program, adds data import function, finally makes the database become a practical tool for ship design. In the fourth chapter such a database integrates effectively National Maritime Research Institute database of winds and waves, Northwest Pacific Wave Statistic Collection, Global Wave Statistics, statistical data of China's coastal waters and Northwest Pacific area, finally uses hindcasting data to complement and complete some empty sea areas, at the meanwhile takes the measured data to verify the hindcasting data, doing feedback anlysis to determine model parameters.Winds and waves are the most important factors for ocean environment, and also indispensable data for engineering design, so the established database provides long term statistic data for ship design, especially plays an important role in shipping performance prediction in real sea area and seakeeping research.
