Abstract/Summary:
In recent years, as the development of international trade and the energy crisis, the liquid cargo ship has rapidly developed especially the oil product carrier, LNG, LPG and so on. They take large amount of liquid cargo which occupies 90 percent of the whole carrying capacity, such as VLCC which can carry several hundred thousand tons of oil. The modern ships'liquid cargo tank is not only a tool for transportation but also a tool for measure and calculation at the time of cargo handing. The veracity of the measure and calculation directly affects ship's credit standing and company's carrying trade, so the owner extends higher and higher request on the tank volume's measurement and some related units and organizaitons are researching on it to improve the measure's veracity and technology.However, ship is a huge steel structure, different external force or different load will bring the relevant deformation and lead to change of the tank's volume. As regards how much is the volume's variation? Does it need to be corrected? How to correct it? There is not any ship design company or measure organization which has research on it. After collecting many ships'volume table of Japan, Korea, Germany, Sweden and England, there is not any related correction table, and also there is not any report about the related research.Considering this situation this paper do the related exploratory research, analyzes the liquid cargo tank's structure deformation and especially studies an oil tank. Through the real ship's total longitudinal bending analysis and finite element analysis to calculate the liquid cargo tank's structure deformation, then simulate and calculate the volume by generating three-dimensional shape. Aim for studying the integrated size of structure deformation and the amount of volume variation, and then with the concept of number it's clear that how much of the influence that structure deformation do to the liquid cargo tank's volume, whether the influence can be neglected or need no correction. Otherwise give some suggestions for reference.
