Urban water-supply system is the lifeline of city life. It is very important for national economy and life. Study of the reliability of water-distribution system is the part of the management of water-supply system and has the significant academic and practical meaning.Water-distribution system is a complex and flexible dynamic system. How to evaluate the reliability of the each part, analyze, find out the connection, thus further to make clear the system reliability is the essential of all. As shown by many documents and predecessor's researches, the method of minimal cut sets is the most efficient way for evaluating the nodes reliability. The system reliability depends on the nodes reliability. A new method is developed to calculate the redundancy matrix to determine the weight coefficient of node. By combining the weight coefficient of node and the node flow, we can evaluate the system reliability. It makes the formula more perfect, by incorporating the network topology structure into calculation. The main city is the core of Jiading New Town. Based on the reliability analysis of Water-distribution system, we can provide suggestions. It may provide important theoretical basis for the optimal design of the Water-distribution system, and it may contribute to building of the Automobile city Jiading and Modern Jiading New Town.
