Study Of Spacial Conformity Of North Peripheralzone In Shanghai Metropolitan Area

The development of metropolitan economy has been promoted by globalization and economic integration. With this background, it is the cooperation in whole region that premises the metropolitan economy. Based on the existing mechanism, however, as the scope of metropolitan area does not overlap regionalization, the interest groups in different districts start to dispute with each other, which brought remarkable contradiction in metropolitan area, reflecting conflicts on space development. The intensification of this contradiction lowered the efficiency and benefit of metropolitan economy, and baffled maximization of metropolitan interest. Therefore, it is realistic and urgent to study spacial conformity in metropolitan area, and its working mechanism.North Peripheralzone of Shanghai Metropolitan Area is a typical terrain in Shanghai Metropolitan Area, which has difference between the scope of economic area and regionalization. Therefore the study on spacial conformity of this area is crucial to the spacial development of whole metropolitan area. It attempts to make space as cut in point, and choose specific terrain in North Peripheralzone to find out immanent reasons, which caused the lack of spacial conformity, and to discuss the way and strategy of coordination.It starts with space definition of Antin-Huaqiao Area, which is specific in North Peripheralzone. After summarizing theoretics and existing analysis, the field survey is carried out to find out social and economic background, and existing characteristics of space development in this area. With analyzing the transformation of regional relationship in Antin-Huaqiao Area, and comparing plans in different phases, it affirms the lack of spacial cooperation, and the resulting spacial problems in Antin-Huaqiao Area. Also it finds out immanent reasons, which are the basis of solutions. Under the objective of space development of this area, it asserts that it is crucial of founding coordination mechanism, which starts on interest coordination to get spacial conformity. After that, it proposes the strategy of spacial conformity in Antin-Huaqiao Area.In the finality, the problems requiring further studies are discussed.
