Water hydraulics is a new technology of using water as a pressure medium in hydraulic system instead of mineral oil, which is especially applicable for industries such as steel & iron, nuclear, medicine, food processing,ocean exploration, etc. with advantages of no fire hazard, non-polluting, saving energy and low cost. Recently, water hydraulics has become of major interest in the field of fluid power transmission and control with vast prospective application because of the human friendly, environmental protection, operation safety and sustainable development aspects.The digitization is one of important development direction of modern hydraulic. It takes some advantages of modern hydraulic, such as energy-saving, flexible-control and improving automation of the hydraulic system. With the great progress of computer technology, the aspect of hydraulic components is turned from simulation components to digital ones and the digitization is main stream of the modern hydraulic gradually.Water hydraulic digital throttling can be connected with computer directly, without the D/A conversion. Its low cost, and the consume of energy is small, the valve is not sensitive to pollution, is the key component of the water liquid presses technique and electron technique, With the vast prospective application, is very important aspect of hydrodynamics at present. Water hydraulic digital throttling valve with the directly controlled is researched in this thesis. The system with stepper motor can be directly controlled by the SCM and drive the valve core of valve,which drives an axial-direction moving so as to modification the area of throttling valve resulting in the adjustment of the flow, In this way, direct control can be fulfilled.This essay discusses the design theory and the method of water hydraulic throttling valve. Key technologies of water throttling valve are expounded and solutions are proposed, too. Its structure is analyzed and its main sizes are designed and design theory and methods of water throttling valve are studied. The structure of digital water throttling valve is designed and the system control model is set up. Simulated by using of the Matlab software, the main factors which affect the stability of valve'body are obtained. The principle of step motor controlled by SCM and the design of the software and hardware are discussed.
