In the middle of 1980s, there was a new type of drive system torsional vibration damper—dual mass flywheel type torsional vibration damper on the international, its excellent performance is paid attention by automobile industry.This article's main research result and conclusion as on the basis of reading comprehensive references, expounded in detail the assembly development, structure and performance of dual mass flywheel and showed its developed trend. This article did the performance contrast analysis between dual mass flywheel assembly and clutch drive disc assembly. This article set up two freedom vibration equation system and determined two freedoms system inherent frequency of dual mass flywheel according to the enterprise real conditions also deduced the design and count of stiffness, so as to make sure the assembly torque. Aim at the flywheel size and above count of engine EQ6102DT did configuration design and developed dual mass flywheel assembly which is fit to operated requirement.This article did manufacturing process analysis and difficulties analysis for designed double mass flywheel. It also made a summary that have real use value for the development of series products in the future.
