Ride Comfort Evaluation And Development And Application Of Test System For ATV

Recent years ATV (all terrain vehicle) is widely accepted by home and abroad market, but there are still some defects about the evaluation for the ride comfort of ATV. Because of no specific evaluation rules and evaluations only based on drivers'subjective impression individually, which lead to greatly difference in individual judgement, those are responsible factors that we cannot evaluate ride comfort of ATV accurately. The quality of ride comfort performance not only influences the passenger's fatigue intensity, comfort and safety but fuel economy and efficiency. For these above reasons, it is necessary to develop the ride comfort vibration test system accordingly to the specific working condition of ATV. This subject focuses on the ride comfort of ATV and the purpose lies in building up the evaluation system for ATV ride comfort.Firstly, ISO263& ISO5349, GB/T4970——1996 and some other research reports or standards in domestic and oversea have been studied carefully; A new objective evaluation method combined with actual vibration performance is put forward; A test system based on PC and LabVIEW is built up, which can achieve data acquisition and data storage when unlinked to PC, the tasks of reading or displaying the data stored on data acquisition card and analyzing data in frequency on the linked condition.Secondly, road test and chassis dynamometer test are carried out successfully according to ATV ride comfort test system and the method of random input running test and also test results are analysed. The result shows that the evaluation method for ATV ride comfort is coincident with the response of human body; the system arrives at the requirements of functions and capabilities.ATV is driven by human beings, so subjective impression is the more precise way to evaluate the ride comfort performance .The investigation on riding comfort with five grades is carried out through some ATVs by some experienced drivers through which can get the subjective impressions about vibration performance and process investigation data.
