Because of the slather usage of a 10/0.4KV electricity substation in practical project and its playing a role of a connecting link between the preceding and the following in electric network, the user are more concerned about how to improve its stability and reliability.This article introduced the project design and its realization of the microprocessor-based relay protection in 10KV system, also presented its main performance of the microprocessor-based relay protection used in this system and the setting calculation of action current. The main part of this article is relay protection, detailing in the comparison and adoption of microprocessor-based relay protection and doing setting calculations of action current in different working environments. It aimed to apply the results to practical projects and design the school 10KV electricity substation and make it come true.This article also narrated in detail the development of the relay protection, its basic requirements and application area, which has been used in different lines and has gained good effect.
