It show: The design style of each residential district green space was varied. The green space in the old residential district was some humdrum. Generally, the green space in the new residential district was various. Although the construct of the landscape of urban residential area incandesces at present, there still exist many aspects unsatisfactorily, for example, the public care on activities is insufficient, the relationship between residential landscapes and the city landscape is not very harmonized, a great deal of designs that are divorced from regional condition and historical culture and tack characteristic and individuality, and many potential problems on construction and management remains. Many factors are contributed to the cause of the problem. The landscape of residential area is a compound composed of many factors. Urban green space should take the natural ecological condition and the region vegetation as a foundation, merging local conditions and customs, traditional cultures, religions, historical relics, etc. in it. It shall conform to the consideration and coordination among many areas to do more benefits for the residents, to promote the house marketing and to add the luster to the city.The basic structure of this paper composes of four parts: raise problems, analyze problems, establish principle rules, and detailed thought about creating landscape. First, combing and analyzing several basic concepts, we can clarify the starting point of the elaboration and define the scope of the research. By analysis on the development and present situation of the residential landscape, we conclude the main influential factors in the construction of the residential Landscape. By rational analysis on the elements, characters, functions and effects of the landscape of residential area, we must set up a point, focusing on serving people. It establishes four principles as comfortable, economical, beautiful and ecological to satisfy the residents at the most and achieve environmental, economical, ecological and societal benefit. Finally the paper probes into how to construct the characters of the residential area. By analysis on the influential factors of landscape characters, we conclude the methods to create the characters of the residential area as building the special character, designing up the framework and intensifying the identical style. And it gives some examples as Aolinqinhua Tomorrow Townhouse and Longting Garden etc.After textual analysis and research, we expect to draw a comparative overall and systemic knowledge to the residential area landscape design and method, and establish a basic frame for the residential area landscape.
