According to the information development direction of distribution enterprise, new distribution network geographic information system (GIS) should be more open, which follow the standards, and support sharing and flexible business restructuring. Meantime, the system should be developed based on service-oriented architecture (SOA). For the effective integration of distributed distribution network GIS, some key technical issues need to be solved about the distribution network GIS development. The integrated distribution network GIS could provide the assistant decision for the management of power enterprise and intelligent operating of power grid on a much greater scale, and be integrated with the other distribution management system (DMS) applications effectively. This dissertation starts from the applicaton of common information model (CIM) on power system resource model and grid topology, expanded to the design of spatial database, CIM data exchange model, architecture of distributed distribution network GIS, and aggregation methods of geographic information, etc. Based on the SOA, the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)-based power enterprise application integration (EAI), data integration methods, and the role of distribution network GIS in EAI have been studied and analyzed. Summarized as follows:1. Combined with the features of distribution network GIS:a large quantity of data, complex model, and widely different sorts of applications based on it, this paper points out some general principles follwed by the development process:paying great attention to requirement analysis, choosing right software architecture, emphasizing openness and security of system, and gradually implementing etc. The method that separate from spatial topological relations of distribution geographic features for distribution grid topology model design and the assumption that provide distribution network GIS’s abilities in the form of standard service interface are also suggested in this paper.2. To meet the GIS’s functional requirements of distribution enterprise, the relevant and proper CIM profile is selected as data model for distribution network GIS. Besides, the paper covers the mapping method between CIM profile and relational spatial database and proposes a mapping mode which can reduce the complexity of relationships between tables. According to the mapping mode, the roles of association between CIM classes are converted into associated properties to each other. Meantime, some data maintenance operations which can make up method call chain to generate maintenance commands for data and topologies of objects are added to each CIM class.Case study shows that the call chain can generate the correct data and topology maintenance commands, and the extended model can be used as an effective CIM data access interface.3. In order to solve the data exchange problems under the heterogeneous environments, a XML encoding norm for CIM document is proposed. And the CIM data exchange schema is defined by XML schema to address the issues of data exchange syntax and data validation. In the schema, an attribute group "AssociationAttributeGroup" is introduced to simultaneously encode complex relationships of CIM objects in XML document in certain two ways: embedding and referring. The CIM objects, used as data conversion adapters which can make quick and effective conversion between binary objects and XML document, implement the serialization and deserialization algorithms proposed by this paper. The application shows that the encoding norm and the serialization operations can be applied to exchange CIM data efficiently.4. Based on CIM model and GML specification, this paper has developed a geographic information exchange model and the exchange document schema. The geographic information service interface "IFeatureService" for distribution network GIS is devised, and the interface accomplishing methods are also discussed detailedly in this study. In the meantime the SOA-style distribution grid geospatial data publishing architecture is suggested. On the basis of distribution network geographic information service engine and OGC specification, the elaborate implementation methods for WFS and WMS are provided in this paper. Meanwhile, the distribution network geographic information integration bus, which aggregates the distributed "same template" geospatial data sources and employs the multi-machine parallel computing pattern, is designed. Case study shows that the distribution grid geographic information integration architecture can effectively support exchange and integration of geospatial data.5. The development process of DMS based on SOA was described, and introduced the ESB to conduct the comprehensive business process integration in distribution enterprise. Aimed at the question of scattered data sources, heterogeneous, and no unified coding standard existing in the data integration, the paper proposed the data integration platform of based on CIM model. To solving the question of associations of entities from heterogeneous data sources and entity identifier mapping, the meta-database was introduced in data integration platform, and gives the design mode of meta-database. Meantime, the paper illustrates the role of distribution network GIS system in EAI. The study of line running monitoring case shows that EAI based on ESB and data integration platform is feasible.6. To verify the usability of business analysis services and graphic presentation services provided by distribution networks GIS system, electricity connectivity analysis, for example, the paper discusses the simplified method of complex distribution networks. With the CIM model says electrical connections, using the adjacency matrix method to analyze the network connectivity, put forward a model transformation method of reducing the size of the nodes adjacency matrix, detailed description of arithmetic of converting topological structure to nodes adjacency matrix and developed the outage analysis services based on the algorithm. The results show that network simplified treatment and adjacency matrix generating algorithm presented in this paper could be applied to the connectivity analysis of complex distribution network, and the system of distribution network GIS could be used as a basic analysis platform of distribution enterprise management, power grid running, etc.
