Environment-Behavior Studies On The Interspaces In Traditional Area Of Hanzheng Jie Of Wuhan City

Interspaces, as an important part of urban space in the traditional area of Hanzheng Jie, joining the roads and the buildings, moreover, they link the domestic life of residents and the neighborhood communications. By doing the research on interspaces, this article aims to comprehend the interactive relationship between urban space and residents'daily lives with public intercourse, and to find out the trait and rule in the relationship in order to make the guideline to the renovation of traditional area of Hanzheng Jie after this research.The research mainly includes two parts of investigations and analysis: the first stage emphasize particularly on the layout of the interspaces and their elementary information; in the second stage nine cases of the interspaces were chosen to be studied on with more details of their physical space , environmental information and residents'activity.On the investigation and analysis of the two basic stages, by the observation and analysis of the physical and social space environment; associated with the related research theory, we reveal the factors which support the daily life in interspaces of the Hanzhenjie as follows: the relationship between interspaces and streets, the relationship between interspaces and buildings.In the end of this article, suggestions on the policy of the renewal of traditional area of Hanzheng Jie were made, as following the network of the road to be planned in Hanzheng Jie should set aside the walk pace for people; small scale buildings is better than large ones createing outdoors space to hold residents'daily lives and endocentric outdoors space.
