Product design and manufacture technology is one of the most important factors which constitute the core competition of the enterprise. As the customer's requirements improving, the marketing competition becomes more and more furious. Enterprise has to face more intensive challenges and competitive pressure. With the widespread use of network technology in enterprise, interregional multi-enterprise and cross-disciplinary collaborative product development is becoming the trend of product development. Product development and management pattern based on PLM (product lifecycle management) provides the solution for the enterprises in the competitive market situation. According to the characteristic of product development in PLM, this paper studies several key issues of the product structure management in PLM system.Firstly, this paper analyses the requirement and operation model of the product structure management in PLM system. A product structure management function model is introduced, which includes product model, version management, configuration management, coding management and BOM multi-view technology.Secondly, this paper deeply studies three key technologies:(1) Product model management is the basis of the product management. To integrate and manage the information raised from product lifecycle time, the tabular layouts of article characteristics is introduced to describe the product family model. A general product/component family model is constructed based on the tabular layouts of article characteristics.(2) Product configuration management is the core technology to fulfill the custom's personality requirement and shortens the product development cycle. This paper put forwards a parametric product configuration method which gives the parameter-obtaining method and predigests the rule-definition and rule-illation.(3) Coding technology is one of the key technologies to realize the product lifecycle management. This paper analyses the coding management system based on information classification and defines segments and nodes to support mix classification method. Additionally, route rules and relevant illation arithmetic are introduced to improve the efficiency of the code generation.Finally, three sub systems are developed based on multi-lay software framework on .Net and PB platform. Relevant sub systems or modules have been implemented in enterprise.
