The power regulating system is an important system of China Experimental Fast Reactor (CEFR). Due to the sign of neutron flux, the power regulating system can regulate the neutron flux by moving the regulating rod in the reactor, and therefore automatically control the power of the reactor. This system can overcome the disturbance of the reactivity and maintain the stability of reactor power.This paper summarizes the design and test of the power regulating system and have some further research by the way of simulating analysis. These provide the available reference to the improvement of CEFR and the design of the prototype reactor in China.In the power regulating system the digital technology was applied successfully, and we have designed a good control system of the the control rod drive machine made in Russia, and solved the problem how to match to the self-synchronizing machine which made in Russia successfully. By the comparison between the tested date and the result of the simulating analysis, we believe the simulating model is right, and the model can be used to the further research of the power regulating system of CEFR.
