Because of the big carrying capacity, free from pollution, the quicker speed, the convenience and saving energy, the rail transit is soon developing in big city. At the same time, the security problem in the subway also causes people's extensive concern, especially the fire accident. Because the subway environment is differ from that in the ground building.In all the subway accidents, fire accident may bring the most serious damage. Subway is a closed space, and it is linked to the outside world only by station entrances and the entrance of the tunnel. In case of fire, due to inadequate ventilation, inadequate combustion, CO, CO2 and other toxic gas concentrations increased rapidly. Moreover, due to the poor exhausting conditions, a larger amount of smoke, heat gather quickly, so the internal temperature will rise fast. Smoke spread through the same direction as the way people dispose, thus, subway accident will inevitably cause severe losing and injuring. Consequently, grasping the subway fire characteristics and master its development will provide an important basis for the design of subway fire protection system.The No.9 rail transit of Shanghai is building now. The normal fire protection system of subway is made up of the Fire Automation System ( FAS ) and the Building Automation System ( BAS ). However, the fire protection system of No.9 rail transit is made up of FAS and a unification linkage control system, and it emphasizes the function of the linkage control system.This paper analyses the temperature field and air distribution of some fire conditions using CFD method and analyses the effect of fire location and exhaust smoke level on temperature field and air distribution. According to above-mentioned characteristics and combine the No.9 line fire protection system in Shanghai, this paper analyzes linkage control mode to every possible fire situation in station or tunnel.
