| In this paper, the characteristics of engineering and waves propagation in the mixture of soil and stone are discussed according to theoretical analysis and model experiments, and the theoretical formulas between the compaction degree and shear velocity are put forward. On these bases, the waves testing technique on the quality of the soil-stone embankment is proposed. And the standard of roadbed compaction degree is tentatively formed. It is found that the testing technique is practicable and reliable with the results of putting it into practice. The main points are briefly summarized as follows:1) In order to ensure the compaction quality and the stability of the soil-stone embankment, the tentative study on the engineering characteristics of the mixture is performed in terms of continuous graduation and gap graduation, including the factors of dry density, particle size of stone, percent of stone and machines of compaction.2) At the polyphone body angle, the equivalent medium theories are used on the macroscopic and the theories such as equivalent fluid model, particulate contact theory and Gassmann equation on the bases of the White Model on the microscopic. Theoretical formulas of wave velocity and compaction degree about wave velocity in the mixture of soil and stone for embankment are discovered.3) Rayleigh wave velocity, V_R, is given by cycle analysis of wrapped phase in SASW testing. Then the improving measures on spectral analysis in surface wave testing are discussed. In the end Stratum stripping method is used to inverse Shear velocity by instantaneous Rayleigh wave V_R.4) Testing models are applied to analyze the wave propagation characteristics and the method of compaction degree of the soil-stone embankment. According to theoretical formulas and testing models, conclusions are drawn that the influences of dry density, shape parameter on shear wave velocity are more than these of percent of stone, water content, depth. Then, the comparative analysis between the wave testing technique and the sampling method is carried out.5) Waves testing technique on the quality of the soil-stone embankment is proposed and the standard of roadbed compaction degree is tentatively formed. The results of putting this technique into practice indicate that the remarkable success can be achieved on the integral quality of the soil-stone embankment. |
