In the recent years, in the constructions of buildings and with the fast development of computer simulation technology, there have been a certain number of experiments and studies on the problem of interaction between soil and structure. But because of the complication of this issue, more analysis and researches are needed for the dynamic interaction of soil and structure. The model of pile raft foundation and three-dimension visco-elastic artificial boundary are imported to construct reasonable FEM models to simulate the interaction of soil and structure. The earthquake waves can transmission when it passes the visco-elastic artificial boundary. Then 3D FEM models of a steel frame structure with 12 floors are set up in ANSYS to perform dynamic analysis such as mode analysis and elastic time-history analysis. The calculation results such as modes, periods, dynamic displacements and internal forces are compared with those models considering fixed at the bottom of the column. Then, four different braced frame systems with the same amount of steel are founded to carry out the same dynamic analysis with the last charter considering soil and structure interaction. On the basis of calculation and analysis, the influences of brace layout forms on seismic behavior is also examined.
