In recently 20 years, the urban traffic which including justle and accident become worsen and worsen, so designing the Intelligent Traffic control system which adapt to national traffic requirement and improving it's capability in reliability and real time, will bring important effect not only to all of the traffic system but also to people's life and social continual development.From the application of Ethernet technology in modern traffic management, the intelligent traffic signal machine,basing on Ethernet, is designed out. It can control the signal light with its internal project; also the user can modify the project by the control panel. And the outstanding point is that the intelligent traffic signal machine has the function of long-distance stakeout and control. Namely the intelligent traffic signal machine can transmit the real time traffic data to the upper computer and display the data on computer. The upper computer can modify and transmit the traffic data to the signal machine, improving the efficiency of the traffic control. The system realizes the function of communication by the TCP/IP protocol, and the capability is very good in reliability and real time. The control interphones of the upper computer is verisimilitude with the actual crossing, it is also agile and intuitionist, which show the state of the traffic light in the crossing in real time. If doing the experiment more in the locale, and doing the experiment in electromagnetism compatible and design to improve the stability, the intelligent traffic signal machine will have the foreground of being made the product. Thus, the system has better social significance and better latent economy benefit.At the same time, aim at the specialty of the traffic flow in the urban road crossing, researching the model and arithmetic to the control of the traffic signal in the single crossing, and establishing discrete multiphase real time model which can reflect the actual requirement of the traffic state in the crossing, and make use of the adding authority coefficient which can change along with the actual traffic requirement, combine with the two factor relating with the signal light time of traffic control and transform to the single aim function to optimize. For improving the count speed of the model, based on the clonal selection principle in artificial immune system, and adopted guassion-like mutation in genetic strategy, this paper proposed an immune algorithm to solve the traffic flow optimization problem, and get the excellent control project. After making the emulation experiment in the Matlab software, the experiment result indicate that the algorithm can effectively improve the passes capability of the vehicle, and reduce the delay time of the vehicle, especially in the traffic flow fastigium after the immune algorithm optimization comparing with the conventional method.
