As a new type of gyratory compacting machine, Superpave Gyratory Compactor (SGC) is used to fabricate high quality mix asphalt specimen. Given that compactors used in current domestic transportation are either relatively old traditional compactors or SGC by import, it's urgent and necessary to develop a self-made SGC.According to comprehensive analysis of similar technology now home and abroad, the main task of the research subject is to develop a set of measurement and control system for SGC based on ARM microprocessor after absorbing advanced microelectronic technique and control technology of SGC. The research work of the dissertation include mainly as follows:1. This part planned the general design scheme of the measurement and control system for SGC based on analysis of the mechanics of SGC machine, after which it outlined each modules of the given design scheme and parameters to be achieved according to the corresponding AASHTO regulation.2. The subject put forward holistic strategy of gyratory angle detecting module in block diagram and built the numerical model for this module, then realized accurate detecting of the gyratory angle by applying traversal and interpolation method to the module.3. Put forward holistic strategy of pressure loading module in block diagram firstly. Then by taking the DC-servo motor as controlled object, it set up the mathematic model of the pressure loading system. Based on the mathematic model, the subject adopted integral separating PID algorithm to control the pressure loading process.4. This part mainly designed the main controller based on 32-bit ARM microprocessor (LPC2210), and realized the circuit design of gyratory angle detecting module, pressure load measurement module, DC-Servo motor control module and step-servo motor control module.5. After transplanting RTOSμC/OS-Ⅱto LPC2210 and writing corresponding start code, the subject divided the whole software to several subtask modules whose program flow will be cast in detail.6. Finally, the subject fulfilled the debugging work of hardware and software for the measurement and control system.
