Power Dispatching Center's application systems come to form ahighly distributed and heterogeneous information environment. A mass ofoperation data are stored in the information system. In the deregulatedpower market environment, the information and knowledge of powerenterprises gradually become the most valuable resources, these factorsbring forth an urgent need for the information integrated system, whichcan deal with the great quantity of data rapidly and effectively. Based onthe integrated system, efficient decision support systems can beestablished.A survey is presented to carefully analyze the existing results on theelectrical utility information integration. For the current situations of theinformation integration in the Shanghai Electric Power company and theFuzhou Electric Power company, a new design method for the informationintegration is proposed to meet the new requirements mentioned above. Areal-time information integration platform applied in the dispatching center is designed and implemented, and a security early warning anddecision-making support system of urban power grids is developed basedon the platform. The main work and contributions of this thesis are asfollows:1. Several key techniques in the Electrical utility informationintegration are first introduced. The integration strategies and the methodsto implement the integration are further discussed.2. The necessity of real-time information modeling and databasedesign based on unified model is stated. The modeling mechanism ofUML and the CIM-based modeling mechanism of the real-time powerdispatch information are further introduced. The techniques to design astandard database based on CIM and the implementation of networkmodel database are also discussed.3. A CIM/CIS-based platform structure of electrical utility real-timeinformation is proposed. The interface adapters among real-timeinformation systems are discussed, and the information exchangeinterfaces are designed with UML.4. The urban power grid security warning is studied based onreal-time integration platform. The real-time information interface isdiscussed through the analysis of urban power grid real-time data flow.The real-time/forecast state of urban power grid security warning andauxiliary decision making subsystem are designed based on thereconstruction information. Finally, on the basis of summing up the work in this thesis, someimprovements for the further research on the system are presented.
