Armature failure is the main failure in a DC motor, so it is extremelyimportant to do the quality inspection and scientific supervision on thearmature by the excellent instruments during which motor armatureintelligent test system is one of the most advanced instruments. Theresearch of motor armature intelligent test system based on the virtualinstrument is just domestically on the start stage. A kind of motorarmature intelligent test system realized by virtual instrument wasintroduced in the paper, where the construction of general structure forthe test system was put forward, especially the realization of test functionof the DC resistance and HT resistance, then the validation of DCresistance and HT resistance test function was researched by the real testsample.The knowledge related to armature test was studied in order to set upthe experiment circuits of DC resistance,HT resistance,insulationresistance,HP packet and circle short circuit, then the experiments onthem were done. The virtual instrument technology was learned in order to know the general structure of the virtual instrument system. The testsystem could be designed according to the experiments and researchabove, during which the combination of PC and DAQ was adopted as thescheme of the hardware system and the PCI-6221 DAQ card was selectedas the DAQ card in the system; the LabVIEW was adopted as thedevelopment environment of the software system, and the scheme of'from top to bottom' and 'modular model' was selected as the designstrategy.The data acquisition,signal analysis and processing and documentsaving and retrieve module are the core modules of the system, whoserealization were introduced in the perspective of realization of DCresistance and HT resistance test function in detail. The paper separatelyintroduced the design of each module in the view of the principle of eachmodule,their structures in the LabVIEW and concrete softwarerealization. At the end of the paper, the test system was applied to theexperiment circuits of DC resistance and HT resistance test in order to dothe validation by the real test sample. An amount of test samples weretaken, then the test results were compared and analyzed; finally thefeasibility and repetition of the system were validated.
