The Research Of The Yang's Houses In Shuangjiang Town Of Tongnan

The Yang′s houses , which site in Shuangjiang town of Tongnan in Chongqing, are residential buildings of Qing Dynasty which are preserved integrity in the southwest region of China. The Yang′s houses including seven residences built in Qing dynasty. For example, Tianba residence, Xinglong residence, Changtanzi residence. Young′s house in Shuangjiang town, built during the period of regal title of Jiaqing of Qing Dynasty. It has a history of more than 100 years.The Young's houses in Shuangjiang town are the typical of Palace-style courtyard buildings in Sichuan province. In the process of its developing, they were impacted by immigrant Culture, central plains culture, and local customs and so on, so they have some common with some local traditional buildings. Meanwhile, as the Young's houses in Shuangjiang town have been impacted by unique local culture, especially the aspect of natural and geography. So the Yang's houses have the characteristics of unique. In addition, the special family background of Young's in Shuangjiang town provides sufficient probability for theirs construction, which made every factors mentioned above reflected completely on the buildings. So it can be regard that the Young's houses have a very high research value of Palace-style courtyard buildings in Sichuan province.The main point of the study adheres to the building phenomenon of Young's houses, and reveals the building culture behind them. In addition, I make two comparisons, one is between different Young's house and the other one is between Young's houses and the other buildings in Shuangjiang Town. And I also have a historical comparison between the Young's houses and old houses of the Yang's in Huangxi of Hunan Province. The breadth and depth of the passage have been broadened by these three comparisons.The disquisition starts with the introduction of Shuangjiang Town and the Young's, which give us the background of the developments of Young′s houses. Then with the introductions of seven Young′s houses about their Status, distributions and situations, I showed the basic information of the Young's houses. Furthermore, the characteristics of building phenomenon of Young's houses have been shown clearly in sections of location, space, form, decorative art and Technique. In the end of the disquisition, I try to find the culture about the Young's houses on the basis of the research and analysis. Finally, I give my evaluation about the Young's houses in Shuangjiang town.My aim is not only to study and practice the studying ways of the traditional buildings but also to express the wish that people's can realize the value and protect the traditional buildings. Finally, I hope that the disquisition can be a evidence of the existence of the valued Yang′s houses.
