Tidal hydrodynamics play an important role in the change of sediment concentration, especially in the estuarial regions, with the shoaling of water depth, the phenomena becomes very obvious. Considering that tides are composed of various constituent, the paper here carries on the study on the changes of sediment concentration in estuarial region by means of harmonic analysis method of tides.After the establishment of the discrete model of harmonic analysis, the paper does the harmonic analysis on the sediment concentration at a special region, and then gains the harmonic constant available for the special region. Combing with the above harmonic constant, a prediction of sediment concentration is made to examine the veracity of the algorithm, and the result proves that the method of harmonic analysis used here has a good precision and the dependence of the observed data is not so strong.In addition to sediment concentration data of the spring and neap tide, the concentration data at maximum velocity of flood current and ebb current are also considered in the paper in respect to improve the precision in predicting sediment concentration. At the end, the relationship between sediment concentration and wind is discussed.
