The seepage field and the temperature field of concrete dams are interactional. The forming courses, the distributing characteristics, the changing rules and the correlativity of seepage field and temperature field in concrete dams are systematic studied. The main contents are as follows.(1) The thermodynamics characteristics of concrete and the main influencing factors on the temperature field of concrete dams are studied. The distributing rule and back analysis method of the temperature field in concrete dams are put forward. Applying the commercial FEM software Marc and combining the engineering instance, the temperature field which is only affected by water temperature and air temperature is derived.(2) The basic theory for seepage field analysis is studied. Based on it, the three-dimensional analysis model of seepage field in concrete dams is established. The solution of pivotal problems such as finding the free seepage surface and simulating the drainage holes and the impervious curtain is put forward, which is applying on engineering instance.(3) The analysis method that using temperature field to qualitatively analyze seepage field is studied. According to the difference between the two temperature fields that one is by field measure, the other is by simulation, the weakness area of leakage in the dam could be qualitatively estimated.(4) By studying the one-dimensional coupling model of seepage field and temperature field in concrete dams, a rule is discovered that the influence that the temperature field on the seepage field is less than the latter one on the former one, and on the basis of which, the coupling analysis model of the two fields in concrete dams is put forward. Based on the model, the seepage field in concrete dams is quantitatively analyzed by using the actual data of temperature field.
