A matrix converter double closed-loop vector-control system of AC motors is presented in the paper. By the use of the digital signal processor (DSP) TMS320LF2407 developed for motor control purpose, it achieves the speed closed-loop control of AC motors.Firstly, this paper expounds the theory, principle of work and design method of magnetic field orientated vector control system of an asynchronous motor. Then, it establishes the mathematical model of induction motor. By using the rotor magnetic field direction detection method, the matrix converter vector control system is studied.Matrix converter is one kind of power electronic converter by direct AC-AC transformation. Its advantages over the traditional pulse width modulation converters lie in the capability of bi-directional power flow, nearly sinusoidal input/output waveforms and a controllable input power factor. Thus, the matrix converter extremely suits to be applied to the motor velocity modulation. In the AC motors velocity modulation system, the use matrix converter to drive the asynchronous motor, on the one hand can realize the better transmission performance, on the other hand also may satisfy day by day the strict electrical network electrical energy quality request, therefore, the matrix converter driving the asynchronous motor system is called the next generation AC motors electricity transmission pattern.This article has studied the matrix converter vector control system on its topology and the principle of work. After analyzing the present commonly used matrix converter space vector modulation strategy, one kind of strategy based on spatial vector control changed with its modulation ratio is proposed. The simulation findings indicated that this method has the good anti jamming characteristic, greatly improved the matrix converter vector control system electrical machinery to control the static and dynamic characteristic.On the basis of the theoretical research, the matrix converter vector control system fed induction motor system is proposed, including the main circuit and the control circuit. The main circuits include the switching matrix drive board, input filter and so on. The control circuits include its hardware and software. The design of matrix converter vector control system about induction motor is studied in the magnetic flux and speed closed-loop.Finally, this paper makes some conclusions, and presents some issues for future research.
