Vehicle delay at signalized intersections is the important measure of running efficiency and serve quality. It reflects not only the drivers discomfort, restrain, oil consume, time lose, but also reflects the logical of signal control and design. This paper mainly talks about vehicles movement characteristics of arrival and depart process, analyzes control delay at urban signalized intersections. The first part introduces the study background, contents and some concept. The second part mainly reviewed the study history. This is helpful for the model building. In the third part, the arrival process and serve process are studied, especially the delay process is mainly analyzed including the dispersion vehicle headway time distribution and vehicle delay at signalized intersections is analyzed. Based on the queuing theory, the forth part introduces a predict model on the vehicle' s arrival. The fifth part introduces that the traffic capacity of highway toll-station is influencing the traffic capacity of highway section directly, thus restricting the traffic operation conditions of the highway on the whole. So improving the traffic capacity of highway toll-station and level of service, is an effective method of improving the traffic capacity of the highway and service level. And several methods to improve traffic capacity of highway toll-station are put forward. |
