Research On Access Control Technology For Network Manufacturing

The rapid development of information and network technology, especially the Internet technology, has greatly promoted the research and application of Network Manufacturing, which can enhance the ability of manufacture and product innovation of enterprises. It will shorten the development time and reduce the cost, thus will raise the competition ability of the whole industry chain and manufacturing groups. Application Service Provider (ASP) is an effective implementation mode of Network Manufacturing for numerous small and middle-scale enterprises in our country, because it solved the funds and talents problem in the reforming of information-based technologies, and brings them application services with superior quality and very reasonable prices.This thesis has explored the principles and methods of user management, mainly focused on the application and implementation of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) policy in the particular circumstance of ASP mode for Network Manufacturing in order to raise the management efficiency and system security.To manage the numerous users effectively, this thesis provided a Hierarchical User Management method, which divide the users into different classes and different units. It offers the implementation framework and the maintenance methods of users, roles, and permissions, and summarized the design principles and constrains in RBAC model. The core conception of RBAC policy is role, which was expressed in a new method using XML(Extensible Markup Language)technology. The case of a design team was given to explain the method of extract the logic structure of role data from a particular work unit. The standard structure of role documents was given in two forms: DTD and XML Schema, which can be used to create and validate an XML-formatted role document. The standard is also used for role data interchange with other different systems. In addition, it will be easy to diversify the display of role data by using CSS or XSL, etc.Finally, this thesis introduced the design patterns, the runtime environments and the advantages of developing tools. The database structure and the key technologies of RBAC system were explained, and the portability of this system was also discussed. After integrated this RBAC system into the whole ASP platform, different operating states were tested. The results showed that the system had conformed to the design requirements.
