Hydraulic system is the vital element for spaceflight launch site equipment, which drives the rotary platform for spaceflight launching tower and whose state has direct effect on performance of the launching tower. Measuring and evaluating the quality in use of hydraulic system before launching is necessary for launching successfully.Extensive researches works have been done regarding the technique for state detection and faults diagnosis. However, those researches are only for the detection and diagnosis after faults occur. At present the study on quality evaluation in use for hydraulic system is lacking. In this paper the quality evaluation technique is firstly applied in hydraulic system on the rotary platform of spaceflight launching tower. Based on the quality evaluation theory and operating principle of hydraulic system, on-and-off vibration signals from hydraulic pump, pressure signals for oil feed or oil return from hydraulic system, strain signals from hydraulic cylinder and instantaneous power signals from machine are analyzed. And the characteristic parameters are extracted from them to input BP neural network. As a result, a new quality evaluation technique based on BP neural network for hydraulic system is proposed. The technique is directly applied in hydraulic system on the rotary platform of a certain space flight launching tower. Experimental results demonstrate its ability to implement the quality grading successfully.The effective evaluation for hydraulic system on the rotary platform of spaceflight launching tower is implemented in this paper. It proves that the new quality evaluation technique can provide the precondition and guarantee for space flight launching successfully. Consequentially it will have the brilliant prospect and use value in the future.
