The cardiac disease is one of the main diseases to harm human body now. ECG is an important method for the diagnosis in the cardiac disease in clinic. The exact automatic analysis for ECG signal is the key to the diagnosis in the cardiac disease, and which is also the problem many researchers pay a mount of attention to solve. QRS complex detection is the key part in the ECG automatic analysis. The accuracy of QRS position detected will affect the correctness and veracity of later analysis and signal extraction.Based on the previous work, the algorithm of QRS complex detection based on wavelet transform is studied; and the hardware architecture for the wavelet transform and QRS complex detection is presented in this dissertation. In this dissertation, the algorithm of QRS complex detection based on wavelet transform is designed and its FPGA implement is also accomplished:Various existed algorithm for QRS complex detection are summarized. Considering the detection rate and the Real-time implement, Wavelet transform method is used to detect the QRS complex. By the wavelet theory, the Lipschitz exponents can be computed from the evolution across scales of the wavelet transform modulus maxima. Localization of the QRS complex is obtained by the appearance of a pair of peaks on the wavelet transform in each scale.Design the FPGA system for the QRS complex detection based on Wavelet transform. The system includes three modules: ECG signal processing module, wavelet decomposition module and detection module. In ECG signal processing module, the ECG signal is processed to eliminate power frequency and baseline drift. The pipeline architecture is employed to design the wavelet decomposition module, implement different layer of the wavelet decomposition in different module to improve operational efficiency. The detection module search the modulus maxima in the layers and detect QRS complex.The Verilog HDL is used to verify the system and several records of MIT-BIH arrhythmia database is used to evaluate the design, the good veracity is got. Meanwhile, the result of synthesis shows the system can work under high clock frequency, the real time processing and detection of ECG signal is satisfied.
