The Research Of Desing Project For X Type Of Main Gearbox

Model X helicopter is the carrier based antisubmarine helicopter used by navy for anti-submarining, rescuing and scouting etc on the sea. Now, the X type of main gearbox is equipped on the base of model X Helicopter, it is retrofitted on the base of helicopter, and this type of main gearbox equipped is also retrofitted on the base of original main gearbox of helicopter X.There are many special requirements on this type of main gearbox including: long cruising range, quick and easy maintenance with simple disassembly and demounting, and high safety etc.Since the helicopter is mainly used for carrier based antisubmarine helicopter by navy, it is difficult to fly safely back for helicopters in case of lubricating system fault (the maingearbox can only be operated in 30 minutes without lubricating oil). At the same time, the main gearbox operated under no oil condition must be overhauled by the manufacturer; this will take a long time. So the "emergency lubrication" function shall be provided for the main gearbox lubricating system in oder to ensure the helicopter can fly back safely and be repaired immediately after damage of external oil circuit.Besides, to satisfy require of the generation and hydraulic power. So, two drivebox should be added on it.After research and study on lubricating system solution for different types of helicopter, appropriate lubricating system solution of main gearbox is determined for emergency lubricating function; drive box structure design solution of main gearbox is determined after research on drvie box structure solution.The paper pre-analyses and studies the "emergency lubrication" plan for this type of main gearbox on several aspects and gives the reliability for realizing the plan on the function of "emergency lubrication", structure of drive box and added load. finished the work of correlational calculation ,At last ,a design direction is established. After the "emergency lubrication" plan for this type main gearbox was chosen, it has been carried out on the improvement to this type of main gearbox successfully and it has passed the testing on test rig and flight-testing.At present, this type of main gearbox has been put into production. the engineering application value of this design solution has been realized, thus creating economic benefit and social benefit for our company.
