Mountainous area occupy 2/3 of the total area in China, which makes is a montanic country, especially in the southwest mountainous area occupy 70%.In these area, plenty of geological hazards restrict the montane economical development and intimidate the security of the community in Southwest. With the development of the west exploitation, more transportation cries for the evaluation and renovation along the arteries. This article concentrate on the rock fall along the K249+159 section of the railway from Neijiang to Kunming, and by analyzing the geological engineering condition and hazardous genesic factors on the basic of outdoor investigation and former data, formative systems analysis of the rock fall is implemented, and the numerical calculation and simulation is utilized to analyze the stability and strain stress field. At last, renovation method is brought forward on the basis of cognitions above. This article makes the following conclusion through the systems analysis of the rock fall along the K249+159 section of the railway from Neijiang to Kunming:1) The destroy mode of rockfall is offset according to field investigation and geotechnical tests in laboratory.2) Restore the original shape of the slope, and proved the slope is not stable by calculating.3) Got the final speed of falling-rock is 30.53m/s, and its bounce distance in the highway is 1.71m.4) Analysis on the harm to the road and railway and affect range, and the maximum impact force to the railway open tunnels.5)Simulated and analyzed the stress and strain fields of rockfalls by FLAC3D. The simulation is identical to the reality.6) Verified the feasibility of Brucker protective net on rockfall treatment of Route 312 above k249+159, Nei-Kun railway.7) The cutting railway and the intensity can not resist the impact of rockfalls, the cut slope need to change to open tunnel and shed tunnel to improve itsimpact-resistance.
