The Analysis And Design Of Vehicle Location And Navigation System Based On GSM Network

Vehicle location and navigation system is an important part of intelligent transportation system, and is a high-tech system which synthesized the advanced location technology, the geographic information system, the database technology, the multimedia technology, the modern communication technology and the embedded computer system. It can high efficiently provide manifold important information. Therefore, this system possesses very strong application value and wide market foreground.In this thesis, the significance of vehicle location and navigation system and its development in China is expounded. The essentiality of developing vehicle location and navigation system based on the situation of China is clarified. The whole technique scheme of vehicle location and navigation system centered with cellular wireless location technology and navigation electronic map is proposed. Under the premise of not changing network structure and mobile terminal in existence, it can reduce the system cost and work efficiently in the environment without GPS signal. Considered the combination of theory and practice, by analyzing and comparing with many GSM wireless location algorithms in existence combined with Kalman filter and navigation electronic map, the location precision is improved in this thesis, which can satisfy location demand of some applications. At the same time, the key technology of the system such as map database and route planning is analyzed in detail, which is necessary for later system exploitation.All the software is developed following the design thought of the software engineering, based on the principle of abstraction and information concealment, module and part to design and implementation. The design and implement of the system whole design, the composition of every function module and part of the key technology in the system are discussed. The vehicle location system of intelligent transportation system is discussed with emphasis. The analysis and contrast of location algorithms are implemented by Matlab, and the location system is developed by VB and SQL server, at last the navigation system is achieved mostly by VC++ and SQL server.
