With the development of the electrical motor theories, modern power electronics techniques, microprocessor techniques and advanced control theories, the application of AC servo technology is more and more extensive. Because of its outstanding structure characters and control performance, PMSM is widely used in many areas. Based on the high-speed computer-controlled lockstitch sewing machine DB2-C201 (the product of BROTHER company), the electrical transportation and control system are studied. Then the hardware and software of PMSM AC servo system are designed.This thesis first introduces the structure of industrial sewing machine servo control system based on PMSM, and provides the block diagram of this system systematically. Then not only the mathematic model, operation principle of PMSM and the basic theory of vector control for PMSM are all illuminated. The theory and realization of SVPWM are analyzed in detail. Then the theory and realization of fuzzy logic control for position servo control are introduced. At last, PMSM servo system model has been established in MATLAB/SIMULINK. According to the theories and simulation results, the hardware and software design of the system are expatiated.As for hardware, TMS320LF2407A digital signal processor (DSP) is selected as the CPU of the whole system and 6MBP75RA060 intelligent power module (IPM) is selected for power drive. According to the characters of the DSP, main power circuit, current sampling circuit, position/velocity measuring circuit and so on were designed. So an equipment for experiment of PMSM based on DSP is finished. As for software, the assembly language is selected and the vector control strategy, PI regulator, SVPWM modulation and so on are realized with software. At last, the program is debugged in the environment of CC2000.Based on experiment equipments and control program, a lot of experiments and analyses are finished. The results indicate that the design of the servo system is reasonable and feasible, having good static and dynamic performance.
