With the project of massive power transmission from Anhui to east area, the connection of Anhui electric network and East China Power Grid becomes more and more closely, which make stable operation and anti-blackouts Anhui electric network a more serious subject. At first, the modeling and analysis methods for transient stability are discussed in the thesis. Second ,the factors such as generator model, excitation system parameters, equivalent parameters of outer systems, load models of power network, that influence on transient stability are analyzed. Then, taking Anhui Grid as an example, some relief measures are put forward and corresponding control methods such as generator tripping and adding FACTS components are studied and evaluated. Followed that, according to interconnection map of East China Power Grid in 2006, this thesis analyzes transient stability of the power system and variety influence factors, practical results for security and stability of Anhui Grid are obtained. At last,several suggestions such as using Static Var Compensator (SVC) to provide dynamic var compensation to strengthen system transient stability after FuYang power plant connect to Anhui power network are proposed.
