Today, with the gradually extending of size and increasingly interconnecting among the subsystem, the structure of electric network is more complicated than before. So, the On-line stability assessment and studying of the electric netwoks are very important. On one hand, the electric network has promoted the market-based development, and the off-line stability assessment can't be seasoned with the new power system; On the other hand, utilize the On-line stability assessment to follow the state of operation, the ones that realized and controlled the electric network in the real time, and contribute to finding various kinds of operation ways. so, it is very significant to the security and economy which improve the management and running, and offer some effective analysises for the management and running department. The major of thesis based on the project of Fujian Electric Power Limited Company, Operation State Evaluation in Power System, which applied the EEAC, called Extended Equal Area Criterion, to the implement of on-line assessment system, analysis and find out the transient stability of electric network. First, introduction and compare of the generally used method in stability analysis are in section 1 and 2. Second, the technique of on-line security evaluation that comes from the EEAC is researched in section 3, including evaluation methodology, introduction of evaluation process and definition of evaluation index emphasizing particularly on vary motive. Then, there are descriptions of software and hardware system construction, the parallel processing platform in section 4. Finally, analyse and research the Fujian security stability, including calculate the assessment index of the stability, analysis on systematic weak defect, the security analysis of future structure of Fujian Power Network in 2010, the transmitting capacity improvement of the important transmission line nowdays are researched in Section 5, and put forward the concrete suggestion for improving the stability of the electric network. This application, not only has examined the practicability of online stability assessment, and has indicated the research results of the subject can be expected to function in more actual power system in the future.
