Modern buildings have a tendency to bring into the use of transfer structures inmulti-story and high-rise buildings. At the same time, application of prestress in transfer floorhas become one of the most important developing direction of multi-story and high-risebuilding. In this paper, on the common transfer story base, the prestressed arch transfer floorhas been advanced, which may be a new type of transfer story structure.In this paper, the common transfer floors are introduced, and the application anddevelopment of transfer structures are summarized. The statics behaviour of arch transferfloor applied to the vertical loading and the elastic behaviour of arch transfer floor applied tothe frequent earthquake are analyzed.The mechanics behaviour of arch transfer floor is analyzed applied to the vertical loading.The conclusions are as follows: the design of upper and bottom chord must consider axialforce and control the line rigidity ratio of upper to bottom chord. It is rational to control of theline rigidity ratio of upper to bottom chord above three. Owing to the tensile force high in thebottom chord, the prestress may be applied in this chord of the structure, which may bebecome prestress arch transfer floor structure. Besides, as a result of axial pressure force highin the diagonal web member, the steel tube concrete may be used to improve the mechanicsbehaviour of this member. It is rational to control the depth-span ratio from 0.175 to 0.35.The elastic reaction of frequent earthquake on the arch transfer floor structure hasindicated the following conclusion: the absolute displacement and the displacement angelbetween floors have sudden change in transfer floor. The equivalent stiffness ration have aimportant impact on the absolute displacement and the displacement angel between floors.The floor shear also have sudden change in transfer floor. When the equivalent stiffness rationmay be far away one, sudden change of earthquake action may be more acute of this structure.It is rational to control the epuivalent stiffness ration from 0.8 to 1.5.On the basis of widely collecting the information, the beam transfer floor and archtransfer floor have be calculated respectively. The conclusions are as follows: arch transferfloor can gain more large architectural space, and the amount of steel and concrete may be farless than beam transfer floor.
