The Study Of Stone-Scenery Construction In Modern Landscape Design

In the Chinese traditional Gardens, which emphasis on impressionistic style mountain and water garden, the application of stone is the main formation of landscape designing. During the long term of garden landscaping, a perfect stone landscaping culture is formed, including the stone choosing, stone analysis, stone arranging and rock piling theory system. For the modern garden landscape which is promoting natural designing, although the stone is not the most necessary part in garden, it has a special scenery effect and deep cultural deposits, also the traditional garden gives us esthetic habit, so the stone is still widely used in modern garden at present.Up to now, people's esthetic direction and the content, definition, function, expressing way, environment, technology and stone material are changed a lot, the previously theory of stone arranging and rock piling show the limitation in the garden design guiding, so we need to point out a new stone scenery arranging method which is suitable for the modern garden landscaping.Firstly, this article analyzes the successful works and their features of Chinese troditional gardens, Japanese gardens and western gardens, and researches the relationship between them and taste of local people; second, this article researches the current situation and problems of stone scenery arrangement of Chinese garden landscaping, and according my own research and analysis, I point out four principles for stone scenery designing, I hope this can be a guider of modern garden stone scenery designing.
