Point-supporting Curtain Wall is that each load and action borne by this curtain wall are transferred to the middle structure via point connection mode, then to the main structure. Nowadays,many architects are apt to use the point-supporting curtain wall ,because it takes full advantage of the permeability of glass material. In recent years, with the speedy development of the point-supporting curtain wall in our country, the application field of point-supporting curtain wall broadens unceasingly, and its structure form diversifies gradually. So it is very difficult to design and verify the point-supporting curtain wall if still being designed by traditional methods. Obviously, there are certain theory significance and greater practical value in researching this structure and developing CAE system for it.On the basis of analyzing development of CAE software home and abroad, aiming at the structure characteristics of point-supporting curtain wall and analysis needs of CAE, a 3-layer architecture general design scheme is put forward for point-supporting curtain wall CAE system, with AutoCAD as the drawing processing platform.The key technologies of graphics database development for point-supporting curtain wall CAE system, The secondary development of ANSYS, and parametric design based on instruction set are studied. The graphics database of CAE system is constructed based on the graphics database of CAD, which give a support to the engineering application Solution scheme of model design, model calculation, and model verification etc. With the program interface of secondary development of ANSYS, an integration model with ANSYS is proposed, which can use the functional module directly in ANSYS. This enriches and perfects the function of the CAE system for point-supporting curtain wall, and also enlarges the project applying area. Parametric design language P-SPDL is designed, which is suitable for point-supporting curtain wall. The architecture of P-SPDL macro preprocessing is studied. These all enhance the features of the system, and also are helpful to further develop, command batch processing, parametric design and operation simplifying.At last, on the basis of conclusions of the former research, the CAE system for point-supporting curtain wall is developed with AutoCAD as the drawing processing platform. The system is characterized by friendly operation interface, convenient operation, broad applicability and powerful post-processing. The system has been applied in several enterprises, with good application effects.
