In petroleum chemical industry enterprise, in order to recycle the energy of regenerative CO flue gas of catalytic cracking unit, the installment has mostly established the burning type CO waste heat boiler, mainly installs the CO regeneration haze afterheat using the catalysis, auxiliary by fuel gas combustion, recycles the physical manifested heat and the chemical energy of the regenerative CO flue gas.In this paper, in order to solve the present problems in CO waste heat boiler in Jingmen Petrochemical Branch Co., SINOPEC, the work and construction features of gas burner are analyzed, a reconstruction plan is proposed。The combustion process of gas and air in gas burner before reconstruction and after reconstruction are simulated based on the computational fluid dynamics software FLUENT. Meanwhile, using the real data of regenerative CO flue gas and factory gas of Jingmen Petrochemical Branch Co., SINOPEC, the calculation of fuel burning is made, the calculation of the thermal balance and thermal efficiency on boiler are made too. Excessive air coefficient, fuel wastage, each heat loss and so on has carried on the comparison and the reason why optimized reconstruction obtained the success are analyzed.The simulation result indicates that, because use the fuel gas divider which the diameter respectively is 23mm and the 8mm fuel gas nozzle divides into two rows of distributions instead of the original fuel gas divider which a manhole diameter is same spray nozzle, on the one hand it has avoided the original each fuel gas jet flow mutually overlap phenomenon, moreover achieves the predetermined value in the air current depth of penetration, thus the cyclone produces several air - fuel gas mix level in the ring-like air current .After the reconstruction, burner flame temperature distribution is even, the combustion is complete, and it has achieved the anticipated target. Because the measures of boiler gas burner reconstruction and the excess air coefficientαreducing are implemented, the heat calculation result demonstrated that, in the maintenance output and the boiler thermal efficiency invariable situation, the CO waste combustion gas amount used reduces largely, and the installment energy consumption reduced greatly.
