Cold Mix and Cold Laid Mixture is a new kind of asphalt material, which is used in maintaining the road and constructing the pavement of new-built road. The Cold Mix and Cold Laid Mixture can maintain the broken surface of road and reduce the cost of maintaining, because it has good capability of deposit. Moreover it has such advantages as lower environment pollution, convenience of construction and special workability.The study of Cold Mix and Cold Laid Mixture in China started lately. Recent years many foreign enterprises have good ideas about Chinese market, so they came to sale their Cold Mix and Cold Laid Mixture. However its price is too expensive to be received by the consumers in China. It couldn't be large used in projects. In addition even if we buy its production technique, we can't copy the production experience totally when we carry through the mixture confect. Because the difference of temperature character and the collection material. Thereby whether from the angle of technique or economic, aiming at it's characters, it's important to study the confecting technique of Cold Mix and Cold Laid Mixture.This paper studies in the following parts:Firstly, it analyses the characteristic of structure of Cold Mix and Cold Laid Mixture .Through the examination and Mohr-Coulomb theory, it analyses the theory of strength's form and characteristics of strength's change. Secondly, it points out the assessment methods and standard of the loosen capability, water stability , stability in high temperature ,initial strength and formed strength , adhesive property in low temperature about solvent Cold Mix and Cold Laid Mixture. Thirdly, through a lot of examinations and the analysis on the characteristics of structure, it advances the mix design. Fourthly, it points out its production and stockpile measures and main proceedings. Fifthly ,it studies the construction techniques of solvent Cold Mix and Cold Laid Mixture, and points out construction measures of using it in maintaining and paving the pavement. Sixthly, we take three test roads to pave, observe and analyse on the basis of in-door experiments. Seventhly, it analyses the economical and social results of solvent Cold Mix and Cold Laid Mixture and contrasts the evaluate cost with foreign materials. It proves that the solvent Cold Mix and Cold Laid Mixture is a kind of good materials of maintaining the road with low-cost and strong competing power.
