| The mankind faces the serious challenge of exhausted resource and polluted environment day by day, with the development of the society and the progress of technology. At the moment, the wind energy is regarded as the new energy with the characteristic of reserving abundantly and distributing widely, the wind energy is the new energy of the most cheapest and cleaner with the most exploited valuable. So the research subject to wind turbine is intensified gradually, and we must promote the research of wind turbine in order to increase using efficiency of wind energy.In this dissertation, the structural dynamics characteristic of the vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) is discussed by the modal analysis method. Now the modal analysis method becomes to be an important way to get the structural dynamic characteristics of kinetic system. The modal analysis method seems to be more effective for the systems that with multiple degrees of freedom such as VAWT. There are two main kinds of modal analysis methods, the experimental modal analysis and the computational modal analysis. When the VAWT is operating, the nature frequency and characteristic is variable, there is no mature experiment method that can test the dynamic characteristics parameter accurately. Based on the investigation of research condition of horizontal axis wind turbine (HAWT) and VAWT , Vibration characteristic of VAWT is studied by modal analysis methods.For example, A 500KW VAWT's model is founded, and computational model analysis methods are carried out for it. During the calculating, to get the more intuitionistic results, cable and wind turbine are analyzed separately, and solve the dynamic equation by Lanczos method, then report the vibration characteristic parameter―nature frequency and promoting frequency, and the campbell diagrams are gained, which can display relation between nature frequency and rotate speed. At the same time, this paper also discusses the dynamic characteristic of turbine with cable restriction. All the results can offer significant suggestion for our VAWT design and help us to avoid resonance of wind turbine during the operation. |
