In fact ,all equipment are in an environment of vibration which are vibrating with the shape of themselves. The vibration not only blocks the equipments'power,but also make troubles to manipulators' healthiness and produces environment pollution. At the same time, along with development of technology , the structure of manufacture is more and more complex,and the request of working capability is more and more higher.To offer a safty and credible working place, the system must be make sure that it has a well dynamic characteristicThe dynamic characteristic and design of machine equipment must be analyse to satisfy the request of low vibration and noise of machine structure.This paper first summarizes international and native research results on the dynamic characteristic analyses of diesel engine. Based on the mode analysis theory, and systematically applying the finite element method (FEM) and considering the problem of improving accuracy and reducing the caculation complexity, the finite element model of diesel engine sump is built with PRO/E ANSYS software. The experiment is based on experimental modal method applied with Belgium LMS, and contrasted with the thoery data.The results show that modal parameters calculated by finite element method are coincident with those achieved by experiment, which shows the correctness of the model and the validity of research method. This work establishes a foundation for the dynamic response calculation, the dynamic characteristic analysis of the diesel engine and optimization in structural design . This method used in this paper emphasizes the unite of theory and practice,it's an universal method in vibration engineering,which makes sure the correctness of this paper..The dynamic characteristics of the engine sump and proposes an improving measure are studied by this paper.According to result, enhancing thickness of sump well is an effective measure to control the radiate nosie of surface. In addition,by changing the distributing of surface bolt,the structure rigidity can alse be improved, and that will reduce noise in a certain extent.At last ,the optimization project for modification is obtained base on systematically considering and caculating the dynamic characteristic...
