Research On Historical Architecture Preservation And Development Pattern In Chongqing

Chongqing is seeing dramatic development on economic growing and urbanization. It makes it hard that any passive and static methods of historic preservation can make any ideal effects. While we should enhance the public consciousness of historic preservation, we should also explore more flexible alternatives on historic preservation under the market economy situation. This paper intends to apply sociology, economics and other theories to research on how to successfully preserve and develop Chongqing's historic buildings under the vast city construction circumstance.First the author reviewed the historic building preservation history in Chongqing, including, the practice of imitating and inheriting of traditional Chinese architecture, collecting and survey of historic architecture, establishment and refine of laws and regulations of relics preservation, deepening and expanding of historic buildings conservation, conservation and development of buffer zone of historic area, etc. Following that the author lists and analyses the different patterns on historic conservation and development in Chongqing, including comprehension and practice of regulation of heritage preservation, relocation of historic buildings, reutilization of historic buildings, conservation and development of buffer zone of historic area, etc.Then the paper analyzes the effects and influence of historic conservation and development in Chongqing. It makes it better that due to the practice of historic conservation and development, the city's appearance, the construction of society; economy and culture have been improved. On the other, there still exists some problem such as lack ness of preservation awareness and preservation regulations, demolition of historic buildings due to massive construction, deviation of style of the rebuilt architecture, etc. Based on this, the paper list some experience on the designing in the process of preservation and development, including the site choice and layout of historic building project, and details designing in the process of historical conservation and regional architecture designing.At last,the paper conclude some tips on traditional buildings preservation and development. The author suggests that the designer take district planning, social economics, psychology and other aspect into consideration and construct plat form that is multiple model in historic conservation and development. It is recommended that the architect, government officer and people collaborate together on the preservation and development, and carry forward the spirit of traditional architecture culture in the new time and tide.
