As railway stations and depots are basic production and serviceorganization, their management level and efficiency would directly affectthe safety, efficiency and service quality of railway transportation. Underthe background of railway stations and depots directly managed by abureau, the reform of their management are gradually going on, forexample, stations and depots merger and organization structure adjusting,etc. On a rational ideology to sum up the experience and to explore theguiding theory of the reform, it is great significant to deepen this reformand promote management level of stations and depots.Based on the reform and management experience of Gui-linOperation depot, the thesis attempts to find out effective ways andcountermeasures to improve management efficiency by using modemorganization behavior theory. Analyzing characteristics of organizationbehavior, summing up the reform changes and putting forward tomeasures for improving management efficiency are the study ideology ofthis thesis. Research contents include mainly six aspects. First, it analysesexistent problem about the duty, scale, work targets, efficiency, safety andorganization enthusiasm of Gui-lin Depot. Second, based on the basicknowledge of individual and group behavior, the principles and methodsof a survey are put forward to. Third, the main characteristics ofindividual and group behavior in Gui-lin Depot are studied by using thesurvey data, and corresponding measures are advanced. Fourth, twoincentive models, which are respectively fit for operation level andmanagement level, are designed on base of analysis of individual andgroup behavior. Fifth, by means of the theory of Organization structureand scope, the organizational structure and a reasonable scale of Gui-linDepot are researched. Sixth, using performance theory and AHP,performance evaluation system and methods are studied, and byanalyzing the performance of Gui-lin Depot, efficient measures to taptheir potential and to improve management efficiency are also proposedin the final.Combining management practice and theory, some application theory and strategy on organizational behavior of station depots arestudied in this thesis. The conclusions and suggestions play a positive roleon improving the management of the operation depots.
