With the fast development of the national economy in Urumqi, and the constant improvement of the voltage grade of transmission line of electricity of the power system, insulator flashover is more and more serious to the adverse effect of the national economic development in Urumqi. On the basis of a large number of domestic and international references and research results, and Urumqi city local climate and region characteristic, the paper puts forward one scheme of compound insulator online monitor. According to the actual conditions of the insulator of 220KV and 220110KV transmission lines of electricity in Urumqi, the paper discusses the theory of insulator flashover. On this basis, using MSP430F149 monitors insulators leakage current ,insulators contamination and humidity state.The paper describes many contents.Such as measuring leakage current, humidity and temperature of environment through transducers, and after being delt by the imitating wave filter, A/D and the digital wave filter etc ,the leakage current utilize fuzzy controller to analysis and judge together with humidity and temperature. Once the result is out of the limit , MSP430F149 will transmit the data to the master station by GSM in order to achieve the goal of monitoring to the insulating state of the insulator in real time. All this can change the bad aspects in order to avoid emergence of the insulator flashover as possible . Meanwhile, the paper also offers certain theoretical foundation for the other areas .
