The levee project is the last protective screen of defending the flood, and the important component of the flood-prevention project system too. If the levee is destroyed, there will be a tremendous influence to people's lives and properties and social economic development. This text summarized and analyzed the types and appearing proportion of the levee danger. The permeating destroy has already become the main reason of the levee danger and it will become the main content of the strengthening measure of the levee project in the future research.The vertical cutoff technique, the horizontal cutoff technique and the drain decompression technique are the main strengthening measures of the levee project. The vertical cutoff technique has been widely used in the levee project, such as grouting, preventing seepage wall, high pressure jetting, deep mixing cement pile, vertical spreading plastic technique, and so on. The preventing seepage wall technique is one of the most important techniques in the vertical cutoff technique.With the development of the construction machinery and technology, in the prevention of seepage of the levee strengthens, plenty of new techniques, new technics, new equipments and new materials have appeared. Based on the research results of the preventing seepage wall techniques and their application and the test results in the levee project, the composite mortar of vibratory sink mold wall is mainly studied in this paper.The properties of the preventing seepage material are the main researches of the vibratory sink mold wall technique. Layering is the key property of the composite mortar. Based on the test results, the seepage, the pump,the fluidity,the segregability,the bleeding and the imperviousness of composite mortar are discussed.At the same time,the quality and the uniformity of the wall are also determined by the layering.The influencing factors of layering factors are then analyzed, especially, the influence of the components and different mixing ratio of the composite mortar are very notable. At the same time, layering is also interrelated with vibrating time because of its special construction technicsof the vibratory sink mold wall technique.The composite mortar preventing seepage material of the vibratory sink mold wall is unconventionality material .Basing on tests ,the influencing factors of the mechanics characteristics and the segregability of the composite mortar are then analyzed.The vibratory sink mold wall technique will be abroad applied through these researches.The main works is introduced in the following:(1) Layering characteristic of composite mortar is studied according to the layering degree test. Based on the analyses of the materials and the operation of the tests, the inflecting law of components of the composite mortar is promulgated.(2) The influencing factors of the mechanics characteristics and the segregability of the composite mortar are analyzed.(3) According to the technology of vibratory sink mold wall,layering characteristic of the preventing seepage material of the composite mortar is studied through the layering vibratory dais model test. Based on the results of tests,the variation regular to the capability of composite mortar are promulgated.(4) Layering compression strength, modulus of elasticity and absorbing ratio of composite mortar are studied according to the same mix ratio and vibratory time model test. A series of formulas of the wall are then put forward.(5) The microstructure of composite mortar is proclaimed by the result of the scanning electron microscope (SEM).Then, the mechanics characteristics of the composite mortar can be explained by the microstructure.(6) According to the mortar vertical cutoff wall of levee project, the problem which need to further study and resolve is put forward.
