Along with science and technology rapid development, the electronic controlled technology taking micro-processor as electronic controlled unit has been gradually applied to the diesel engine and the formed modern electronic controlled system of diesel engine in the last century eighties. The electronic controlled diesel (be called an electronic control diesel for short) is applied to the diesel field by the modern electronic technology, computer technology, automatic controlled technology etc. and finally form integrated productions of machinery with electronics. It should improve the diesel performance and effectively lessen oil consuming, achieve the destination of energy conservation, economy working; Reduce harmful blowoff, cut down environmental pollution, make it satisfying environmental protection law and regulation, and achieve the detection of working condition and automatic diagnose of diesel malfunction. At present it is necessary to apply electronic controlled technology to diesel and it is the direction and tide of the development of the diesel engine in future. Unfortunately, owing to the shortage of development of the interrelated technology and economic support, the technical level in the field of engine diesel electronic control is not high, so it is necessary to launch the correlative research and development of the electronic controlled diesel engine. In this paper, the author has designed the electronic controlled unit and monitor system of medium pressure common-rail electronic control diesel engine experimental platform based on prophase work of electronic control office in wuhan university of technology. Through this work, it would become quite facile that analysis and master the work process and principle of experimental platform.The structure, principle and work characteristic of monitor object—medium pressure common-rail electronic control diesel engine experimental platform has been introduced in the first section of this paper, the principle and requirement of electronic controlled unit and monitor system has been analyzed on stress. The sensors related to electronic control diesel engine has been compared, selected and tested, in the meaning time the signal reforming circuit has been designed, aimed at its work requirement and peculiarity of signal. Isolation drive circuit has been designed according to the working requirement of common- rail oil pressure regulating valve. The 586Engine embedded platform with high performance has been chosen for the controlled micro-processor of the electronic controlled unit. Owing to the modularization in the designing methods associating with "foreground/ background" software structure, the efficiency has been improved greatly, at the mean time, the requirement of real-time performance and reliability of electronic controlled unit has been met. Related to software design of monitor system, LABVIEW has been introduced, which is a excellent graph design tool of NI corporation, USA. It become reality that real-time DAQ, display and storage. According to the data transmission between computers and micro-controller,RS232 serial communication standard has been selected. A certain method of error-correct has been adopted in process of data transmission, so the reliability has been ensured.Through out theory analysis and correlative experiment, it is proved that electronic controlled unit could meet the works demands of middle pressure common-rail diesel platform .The high reliability and expansibility of Unit has been proved and the accuracy of controlled time order has achieved 0.1 millisecond .at the mean time, the related monitor system could gather and display multi-channel signals simultaneously. What's more, the function of data storage and process of LabView could make it quite convenient that we could analyze and optimize the work process of common-rail electronic control diesel engine.
