The rib shell structure is main structural style of the underwater weapon. Therefore, research of rib shell echo characteristic will lay the foundation for rib shell, example for submarine, echo research, and it will provide the very important military application value.Firstly, the numerical calculating models of ribbed double spherical shell were founded. The characteristics of acoustic scattering were calculated and analyzed in the case of point-source incident, the influence on sound scattering were discussed in different conditions of the ribbed and unribbed, the frequency of incident wave , angle of incident, the rib thickness, and scattering sound field of ribbed double spherical shell was also present.Secondly, the numerical simulation models of ribbed double cylindrical shell were set up. The characteristics of acoustic scattering were calculated and analyzed in the case of point-source incident , the influence on sound scattering were discussed in different conditions of the ribbed and unribbed, the frequency of incident wave ,angle of incident , the rib number ,the rib thickness. Scattering sound field of ribbed double cylindrical shell was given.In the paper, the scattering sound field of ribbed double shell were calculated and simulated by ANSYS and SYSNOISE, some useful disciplinary conclusion were gained. The outcome showed that applied SYSNOISE to calculate scattering sound field of shell take on convenient, quick, direct-viewing merits. The calculation methods of shell echo were enriched greatly.
