With China's rapid economic development and urbanization process accelerated, all levels of socio-economic strength of the center city increased population and land size. Faced with this situation, the old city region (especially the old city region of the big cities) can not meet the demand of the urban expansion, especially in the geographical space structure regrouping, the overall optimization. The new city region expanded from the external of many big cities, urban spatial structure changed from the beginning of the "single-core" to the "double-core", "multi-core".Papers against the widespread urban phenomenon of the current rapid urbanization process of the building of the new city region, first papers analysis of foreign and domestic practice new city region development process and practice, and comparative study it.
