Because of the many advantages in box-girder bridges with flanges, such as larger sectional torsional strength and flexural strength, reasonable flexural stress diagram, small shear stress, good stability, planeness and comfort on the high-level road, lower cost and quickly construction speed, they are wildly used in China and overseas. So, it has remarkably signification in theory and practice to study the behavion and design methods about this kind of bridges.Based on the behavior of flange box-girder bridges, using space finite element analysis methed and the experimental ways of the organic glass models and field bridges, this paper discussed the forcing reactions and the loading transverse distributions of the rightly simply-supported box-girder bridges. The main objects are respectively the distributing rules of the loading transverse distributions with live load on the flange simply-supported box-girder bridges, and the loading transverse distribution quotieties on the girder spans of the flange simply-supported box-girder bridges.This paper is focused on the following:(1) Experimental research on glass models. We choosed typical bridges to design the test model, discussed the distributing rules of the loading transverse distributions with live load on the multi-box flange box-girder bridges, including the changes of the loading transverse distributions on the girder spans. We also discussed the effect of the forcing characters and the loading transverse distributions with or without cross beams.(2)The research on loading transverse distribution's calculation. By comparing traditional calculation methods and space finite element method, as well as the calculated results coming from the test results, we discussed the applications of the method rigid connected beam on the flange box-girder bridges.(3)Based on the research of typical box-girder bridges, we confirm the application of rigid connected method on the box-girder bridges.According to our study, we proposed the amendable rigid connected method to calculate the loading transverse distributions on the simply-supported skew multi-box box-girder bridges, proved the applicability of amendable rigid connected method, and discuss the difference of loading transverse distribution with different load, the effect of diaphragm on single-beam transverse distribution quotieties, and the change of single-beam transverse distribution quotieties along bridge portrait.
